Every two years, District 36 (our district, encompassing groups in the Snoqualmie Valley from Duvall right on up to Snoqualmie Pass) has a new rotation of people filling elected and appointed service positions. The same goes for Western Washington Area 72 (the district to which we belong with about 50 other districts).
This means there are going to be a lot of people in new positions over the next few months. If only there was a place where people could learn about their new role and how they can learn from and lean on peers wearing similar shoes. Thankfully, there is such a place. The Area 72 Standing Committee Quarterlies are places where district chairs of the same committee can meet up, share successes, and ask for help.
The attached flyer shows the schedule for these Standing Committee Quarterlies through the end of the year. If you’re considering a committee position in the upcoming District 36 rotation, the Area 72 quarterly for the same service role is a great place to see what other districts are doing.
