There’s a little blurb at the bottom of this post which summarizes what I do as the Alternate District Committee Member. That somewhat long sentence represents 100% more information than what I knew when I submitted my name as a candidate for this service position.
My appreciation for knowing more about how District 36 (the district for the Greater Snoqualmie Valley) supports our group meetings motivates me to help others learn, as well. Here’s some of what we’re doing and what we’ll do next.
We’ve created this site and are spreading the word about what a fantastic resource it is as a meeting schedule, contact list, and event guide.
We’re rotating through visits to all of the meetings in the district. We’d like you to know how District 36 can help support your meeting group and we want your feedback and questions.
What’s next? We’ll focus on growing the General Service Representative (GSR) presence at our monthly district meetings. GSRs are the critical communication link between your group and the district. Attendance at the monthly district meeting (the first Tuesday of each month, 7:00 PM, at Fall City Methodist Church) will help keep this link open and flowing.
If you are a GSR and have questions about the district meeting, please reach out using the contacts on this site. If your group doesn’t have an active GSR, please appoint one and send them to the meeting. We’d be happy to meet with any candidates for the position and let them know where they can find information about the role.
