Service Opportunities from Seattle Intergroup Health & Treatment Committee

The following service opportunities are being shared by the Seattle Intergroup Health & Treatment Committee.

The new Bread of Life Mission meeting launched on Sat, July 13th. This weekly AA meeting is happening at 11:45 am in the dining room of their Pioneer Square facility (97 South Main Street in Seattle).

We are now holding weekly meetings at both Union Gospel Mission’s Riverton Place (Thurs nights at 6 pm, 3020 South 128th Street in Seattle) and the Downtown Seattle Union Gospel Mission (Sat mornings at 10 am, 3802 South Othello Street in Seattle). We continue to look for men to get involved as secretary or chair for both of these meetings. We also hold a speaker’s panel on the second Thursday Night of each month at Riverton Place. You must be pre-registered to enter any Union Gospel Mission facility.

We continue to carry evening panels to Key Recovery (10344 14th Ave South in Seattle) on the weekends as well as Tuesday nights. The weekend evening panels happen upstairs in an intimate setting with residents with over 6 months of sobriety who are looking for work. Our Tuesday night panels happen downstairs with many newcomers with less than 6 months sobriety.

We have a panel every final Friday of the month at 9 am at Lakeside Milam Renton (1000 Southwest 7th Street in Renton) and we just added a 6 pm panel on the last Wednesdays. We continue to bring in a panel to Lakeside Milam Auburn every second Tuesday at 7 pm.

We continue to carry our message of hope to Harborview’s 5th Floor Inpatient Psychiatric Unit (505 9th Avenue in Seattle) every Sunday night at 5:15 pm. Attendees need to be cleared with Harborview as volunteers.

All are welcome at our weekly Salvation Army Sunday night 7 pm meeting at the William Booth Center (811 Maynard Avenue South in Seattle), so please come support this meeting and bring a friend. We are rotating secretaries weekly and always looking for folks to chair that meeting as well.

The best way to get involved in any of these efforts is to attend the Health & Treatment Committee hybrid meeting every first Saturday of the month. We invite anyone to participate who would like to share the message with alcoholics in hospitals or treatment centers. Our committee meets the first Saturday of the month at 10 a.m. at the GSIG Office:

5507 6th Ave South, Seattle, WA 98108

This meeting is hybrid. In person at Seattle Intergroup or online
